50 Georgian citizens arrested in Spain

Spanish police arrested 50 Georgian citizens on November 29 on burglary charges. As Deutsche Welle reports, the most large-scale operation has been conducted in Madrid, Barcelona, Seville and Baracaldo, north Spain.
Several Spanish citizens have also been detained. As police suppose they were the accomplices of the Georgian criminals helped them steal jewelry and watches.
The detainees may face charges for being members of criminal groups, money laundering, as well as illegal possession of weapon and drugs.
Georgian citizen Spartak Japaridze is also on the international wanted list. Spanish police call him the ‘criminal boss’ and leader of the criminal band. He is supposedly in Italy.Two representatives of the police will depart for Georgia in order to coordinate the local colleagues.
The case of another Georgian citizen Zviad Darsadze has also been discussed in the National Court Chamber of Spain. He is accused of leading criminal groups and burglary in Spain.
