The law on secret wire-tapping is being discussed in Constitutional Court of Georgia. Judges listened to the arguments. The representative of the operational-technical department and employee of the State Security Service will be present before the court.The coalition “This Concerns You” demands that the law adopted by the parliament is declared as unconstitutional. According to the law, the so-called key to access on secret wire-tapping belongs to a body, which is subordinated to State Security Service.
Varkhani village flooded

The village of Varkhani in Adigeni region was flooded as a result of heavy rains. Rescue brigades from Akhaltsikhe, Adigeni and Abastumani are working at site of natural disaster. The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) will finance construction of Batumi by-pass road. The agreement was signed on June 17 during the annual meeting of Board of Directors ongoing in South Korea. Dimitri Kumsishvili, First Vice-Prime Minister and AIIB President signed the agreement. A total of USD 114 million will be allocated for co-financing of the project, which aims at lessening traffic from transit transport in Batumi.
